My Qualifications

In early 1983, I entered The Air Force as a F-16 Crew chief (mechanic). One of my daily maintenance duties was cleaning and waxing the windscreen or canopy after every flight. The canopy encapsulates the pilot and gives him full view around him.  At 23 years old, I learned the importance of removing the bugs, dirt and any imperfections to the canopy surface and from the pilots view.

After my career in The Air Force, I entered the automotive industry and educated myself to ASE Auto Master Technician status. Late 1999, I was certified as a State of Virginia Vehicle Inspector. I noticed an ever increasing amount of vehicles coming into the inspection lane with cloudy or foggy headlights.  I had to fail many vehicles for headlight illumination problems because of these ugly headlight lenses.

In 2005, I started my own headlight restoration service restoring headlight lenses. I experimented with many chemicals, "do it yourself" kits and techniques. Remembering back to my Air Force days, I quickly learned how to properly remove the headlight lens imperfections and the importance of sealing the headlight lens.

My name is Ken, a Mobile Headlight  Specialist.
